Yvonne Joyce Craig

Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16 1936 from 1936 to August 17 2015) was an American dancer, actress and choreographer. She is best remembered for her role in Batman's 1960s TV series Batman and Marta the Orion slave with green skin, in the Star Trek 1969 episode "Whom Gods Destruction". The Huffington Post called her "a pioneer in female superheroes for television." Yvonne Craig was born in Taylorville, Illinois, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. Her family relocated to Dallas in 1951. She was a student at W. H. Adamson High School, Sunset High School as well as W. H. Adamson High School. However, she was not able to graduate as she did not receive "one credits for PE". Craig was accepted into Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo in the role of the youngest dancer in the corps de ballerina, after being recognized by Alexandra Danilova who is a dancer and teacher.
