Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who previously worked as an anchor for television at ABC News. She is most
famous for her role as co-host of Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to
2018, and host of The View, 2015-2018. Before that she was the co-anchor on
America This Morning (World News Now) and America This Morning (America This
Morning). After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs
including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio.
Because of the lack of opportunities for TV, she took the position of a sales
representative for radio. Then she was able to work for one year as a producer
assistant for WKEF/WRGT. Later, she would occasionally anchor and report. She
was the weekend and weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002
until 2005. After her contract expired, she became a anchor and reporter for
sports at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from November 2005 through
December 2011. In December 2011, it was announced that she had been hired by
ABC's news division, ABC News. The first time she appeared on ABC News was on
the 2nd of January, 2012 for ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning.
During this time she occasionally was a fill-in for Good Morning America as
well as the correspondent. Later, she was promoted to New York-based
correspondent on all ABC News programs. She was host of America This Morning
and World News Now's final episode on January 22 in 2013. On September 9, 2014,
she was announced as the co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend, after the
departure of Bianna Golodryga. Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. Her
contract was renewed by ABC for the 20th season on the 3rd of August. She was
also confirmed as a co-host for Season 21. She was a regular guest on episodes
on Fridays of the 21st and 22nd seasons.
