Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. Sarah
is the middle child. She has an older sister Natasha Chalke and one younger
sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in the film City Boy
(1992), an original television film. After her first movie, Sarah auditioned
for the role as Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was in search of
someone to fill in for Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah
graduated from high school in 1995 and was involved in the production of
Roseanne (1988) between 1994 and 1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim
Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, Sarah played in two movies:
Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) in which she played an
actress named Krista Wilson. Sarah was invited to perform in a 1998 TV show
called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This happened one year after Roseanne
(1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998), the show also had a
basis. She was able to take over Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She
announced that she was planning to stop acting and go to college. (2001)
(1993-1997) Was the younger sister of Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988), but is
younger in real life. Attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and was awarded an
award to the most successful single of 1999. [September 1999] Appeared in local
Vancouver theater productions, at age 8. The actress is fluent in French and
German. She volunteers at a hospice facility for sick children and also works
for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke loves cooking with her friends
(especially Thai or sushi) as well as play guitar as well as go on hikes, ski
(she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer, as are both
parents are mediators. Both run an agency for child adoption. A couple of years
ago she went with her parents to China for the purpose of coordinating the
adoption of several orphans in China.
